THE FOUNDING PARTNERSHIP

The University Center was created by this partnership:

• Arapahoe Community College, was tasked by the State of Colorado with the ownership and operation of this site. UCC serves as a satellite campus for Arapahoe Community College.
• University of Colorado Denver, assisted in the design and installation of the instructional computer labs and initial technologies within the new facility.
• University College of the University of Denver, provided financial support and implemented many computer training and adult learning courses at the site.
• Douglas County School District, donated the land for the UCC facility. This continued partnership between Arapahoe Community College and Douglas County School District includes many new programs and collaborations.
• Southeast Business Partnership, provided marketing and advertising of the UCC facility and programs to the businesses of the southeast metro area.

• Douglas County School District, ACC Early Childhood and Teacher Cadet programs are located in the Douglas County School District high schools.
• Arapahoe Community College, offers a strong Early Childhood education program along with core course Associate of Arts or Associate of Science transfer programs.
• Adams State College, in conjunction with ACC, Adams State College offers a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with Licensure (EETPP).
• University of Colorado Denver, Master's Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Politics and Public Policy--excellent for the secondary teacher in the social sicences.
• Lesley University, Master's Degrees offered at UCC include the following: Technology in Education, Literacy and Integrated Teaching through the Arts.

CREDIT AND NON-CREDIT COURSE OFFERINGS

University Center at Chaparral provides flexible course offerings--daytime, evenings, and weekends to suit your busy schedule. Our offerings include:

• College credit classes from the certificate to the master's level.
• Non-credit courses offered through Arapahoe Community College.
• Workforce Training,which includes customized corporate training, Nurse Refresher and Solar Engergy programs offered through the Corporate Learning Division of ACC.

THE FACILITY

The University Center at Chaparral (UCC) is conveniently located near the South Metro Meridian Business Corridorm for residents of Douglas, Elbert and Arapahoe counties. UCC is easily accessed from I-25 and Lincoln Avenue or E-470 and Chambers Road.

Opened in the spring of 2000, this state-of-the-art facility includes interactive computer labs, wireless Internet, video conferencing and comfortable classrooms. UCC is an ideal location to hold company retreats and trainings.
